01The product, straight

Know these facts and you can film without a script.

MagVita™ Magnesium 12-in-1 Complex — 240 Count

700mg of broad-spectrum magnesium per serving, across 12 forms, in a 240-capsule bottle. The twelve: glycinate, citrate, malate, aspartate, gluconate, ascorbate, taurate, oxide, lactate, carbonate, chloride, orotate. Almost every bottle on the shelf is a single form. That contrast is the whole product.

$62.99 on the listing — your commission is $15.75 a bottle. Check the live listing before you film in case a promotion is running.

Why we're pushing TikTok Shop now

We do 270+ orders a month on our own store and put over $10,000 a month of paid ad budget behind creator content. If your video converts, we can run spend behind it — more reach than your following alone, and more commission for you.

02One deficiency wearing five disguises

Five complaints that look unrelated trace back to one shortage — because one form of magnesium only reaches one system. This is our mechanism, and it's why the product sells.

3AMFalls asleep fine. Wide awake at 3:07 for no reason.
CrampsCalf seizes at 2am; eyelid that won't stop twitching.
Short fuseSnapping at things that didn't used to land.
FogRereading the same sentence four times.
EmptyEight hours down and still dragging by 2pm.

Pick one disguise — whichever you've actually lived — and open on it. The disguise is the door. The mechanism is the sale: different forms of magnesium do different jobs, and you've been buying one. That turn is the most important beat in your video.

Use the pain they feel today, not a warning about tomorrow. "Last night at 3am" beats "long-term deficiency can lead to…" every time — and the second one is a health claim you're not allowed to make anyway.

03What we already know converts

We've spent real budget testing this product's messaging. You don't have to guess.

The mechanism outsells every other message

Across everything we've tested, "12 forms vs. the one form you've been buying" is the message that makes money. Symptom-only videos buy cheap views and don't convert. Land the mechanism and you land the sale.

Handheld beats produced

Our best content is a real bottle in a real hand, your voice, captions on — not polished, not animated. Same message shot handheld versus produced: handheld won outright, by a wide margin. Your phone is the right camera.

The shape that works

Symptom hook → the 12-vs-1 turn → value close. That's the spine of our single best-performing ad. Fill it with your own words and your own night.

04Your first two seconds

A hook has four jobs, in this order. Miss one and the video dies before the mechanism ever lands.

  • Stop the scroll. Movement, a face, or a strange object in frame — something that interrupts.
  • Make the right person say "that's me." Name the symptom exactly. "Wide awake at 3am" self-selects; "trouble sleeping" doesn't.
  • Open a loop they need closed. Give them a reason the next five seconds matter to them.
  • Make the claim swallowable. If it sounds far-fetched, say so first: "I know how that sounds, but…"

Never open on a tutorial line. "Come make my nighttime routine with me" is the single most common way creators kill a good video. Nobody stops for a routine. They stop for a problem they have right now.

3:07AM

Our most-recognised hook. Name the exact time — specificity is what makes people stop.

"If you fall asleep fine but you're wide awake at 3am for no reason — that's not insomnia. Nobody told me it could be a mineral."

The drawer

Show your real graveyard of half-finished supplements. Highest-trust opening we have, and it costs nothing to film.

"This drawer is every magnesium I've quit. Every single one had one form on the label. That's the part nobody explains."

Stop at 7

The competitor flank. Works because the shopper has already compared labels.

"The popular ones stop at seven forms. Seven. Turn this one around and count them with me."

The 2am cramp

Best for the cramp audience. Play it as horror-comedy, not a medical explainer.

"Nothing wakes you up faster than your own calf trying to kill you at 2am. I did the banana thing. I did the pickle juice thing. Neither is what that muscle was actually asking for."

If you were worse off than your viewer, lead with it

"I had it worse and I fixed it" is the strongest story you can tell, because the viewer does the math themselves.

"I hadn't slept a full night in two years. Two years. Everyone told me it was stress."

05"But your label has oxide in it"

Someone will comment this. It's a gift — it's the whole mechanism in one question. Here's the honest answer.

Magnesium oxide on its own is close to useless — your body absorbs only a small fraction of it, and the rest mostly gives you a bathroom trip. That's the villain: a bottle where oxide is doing all the work. Ours is one of twelve, doing the one job it's good at, next to eleven better-absorbed forms doing theirs.

So the line is never "oxide is trash." It's "oxide alone is trash." Say it that way and the comment section does your selling for you.

The most powerful word you have: "without"

Your viewer has already tried something that failed. Name it, then take it away: "finally sleeping through the night without waking up groggy from melatonin." Naming the thing that failed them is what makes your claim believable.

06Film it, then cut it

Specs first. Then the editing, which is where most creator videos are won or lost.

Spec Requirement
Format 9:16 vertical, filmed on your phone, natural light
Length 21–45 seconds. Under 20s doesn't sell; over 60s loses them
Hook Symptom in the first 2 seconds — spoken, not just on-screen text
Product Bottle on camera 3+ seconds, label readable. Counting the 12 forms on the back is our highest-performing beat
Audio Your real voice. No robot voiceover, no text-only slideshows
Captions Burned in, one short line at a time, ~1.5s each. Most viewers watch muted
Label Check your footage isn't mirroring the text — front camera flips it
Link Post as a Shoppable Video with the product attached — no link, no commission
Disclosure Turn on TikTok's paid-partnership toggle. Required, and it doesn't hurt reach

Cut out every breath

Dead air is the single biggest difference between a video that feels real and one that feels flat. Trim each line to the shortest version that still reads, and make a hard cut every time you change subject. Tight beats smooth.

Save the pretty shot for last

Raw and casual up front — that's what earns the watch. The clean, well-lit bottle shot belongs at the end, next to the price, not in your opening frame.

Show the thing you're saying, as you say it

Cut to the drawer on "every magnesium I've quit." Cut to the label on "twelve forms." A cutaway that lands on its own phrase is worth more than any transition effect.

07Sound like a person

The fastest way to lose a viewer is to sound like a brand. Talk the way you'd text a friend who asked what you're taking.

Do

  • Short sentences. Some very short.
  • Contractions, always — "didn't," not "did not"
  • Concrete nouns: the drawer, the calf, 3:07, the pickle juice
  • One symptom, one story, one video

Don't

  • "Wellness journey," "self-care ritual," "elevate," "transform"
  • "Game-changer," "holy grail," "obsessed with this"
  • Anything you'd read on an About page
  • Listing all five symptoms in one video

08Claims: the part that matters

This is a supplement. These aren't style notes — a video that breaks them gets pulled, and takes your commission with it.

Say this

  • "Supports restful sleep"
  • "Helps support muscle relaxation"
  • "Supports normal nerve and muscle function"
  • "Helps maintain healthy magnesium levels"
  • "Here's what I noticed for me…" — your own honest experience

Never say this

  • "Cures / treats / heals" anything
  • "Fixes anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD"
  • "Replaces your medication"
  • "Doctor recommended" — unless you are one
  • Weight-loss claims. Wrong product, instant takedown

If you share a result, say it like a person, not a testimonial. Our best-performing ones sound like disbelief with a date on it:

"slept through the night??? hasn't happened since I don't even know when"
